Free Bitcoin
Three ways to start
Free
I got my first five bitcoin for free back when it was trading for under $0.10 per coin. Ever since, I’ve tried to scoop up more wherever I can find bargains from mining (for me that worked only because bitcoin worked) to various auctions, bankruptcies, and post-bk securities. In hindsight, I over complicated things and would have done far better to just buy BTC at the beginning and hold all of them until today. Oh well. The question — as always — is what do I do now? And what should someone do who’s just starting out?
Start
If I just turned eighteen again, newly had access to opening accounts on my own, and wanted to start accumulating bitcoin, I’d start by scooping up all of the freebie opportunities available. When I was young(er) there were literally sites with bitcoin faucets that would simply give them away. Today, you can get free bitcoin as signup bonuses. My favorite is Gemini, followed by Crypto.com, then Coinbase. Collect all three to get $145 of bitcoin, which could be worth far more a few decades from now. You need to start somewhere.
Gold
Buy $100 of bitcoin to get another $75 here. This is a rather spectacular deal that everyone should do. It just takes a few minutes. Instead of spending the money on more advertising, they simply give you the money. The customer acquisition cost of a new bitcoin investor is about $350; they hand you $75 of that. Take it.
Silver
Buy another $100 of bitcoin here and get their bitcoin credit card. They also offer stocks and sports. You get $25 for signing up and trading.
Bronze
Buy another $20 of bitcoin here. I put it third because it is only a $20 bonus but in a sense it is the best because it is the best ratio. Free money — get some.
